Strong brands are valued in billions. For example, the corporate brand of IBM is valued around $70 billions in 2011 (see Top Global Brands).
 

Strong brands with large brand equity are backed with positive brand images and messages. Intangible brand values should be part of the assets in balance sheet, which is especially important for mergers and acquisitions. Brand equity integrates finance and marketing science.
